AMD re‑releases Ryzen 7 5800X3D for Q2 2026

AMD announced the return of the Ryzen 7 5800X3D in Q2 2026, marking the AM4 socket’s ten‑year anniversary. The processor keeps its original 8‑core, 16‑thread layout, 4.5 GHz boost, 100 MB cache, and 105 W TDP. AMD will re-release the Ryzen 7 5800X3D in Q2 2026 to mark the AM4 socket's ten-year anniversary. The processor retains its original specs: 8 cores, 16 threads, up to 4.5 GHz boost, ==100 MB cache==, and a 105 W TDP. The announcement came via a Chinese-language promo banner shared by insider HXL.

Existing AM4 motherboards can accommodate the chip, allowing upgrades without platform replacement. AMD continues supporting both AM4 and AM5, with Senior Vice President Jake Hugh confirming long-term commitment to the newer socket.

  • Launch scheduled for Q2 2026
  • Specs unchanged from the original 2022 release
  • Regional availability not yet confirmed

This re-release offers a performance upgrade path without requiring new hardware, part of AMD's strategy to extend platform longevity and reduce total upgrade costs.
