Sony InZone M10S II launches with 540 Hz OLED gaming monitor

Sony launched the InZone M10S II gaming monitor today, pricing it at $1,099 and aiming squarely at competitive gamers who need every millisecond advantage they can get. It's not reinventing the wheel, just making it spin faster and clearer than before.

The 27-inch WOLED panel delivers 2,560 × 1,440 resolution at a blistering 540 Hz refresh rate. Drop the resolution to 720p and you'll unlock 720 Hz, a spec that sounds like overkill until you're tracking enemies in Counter-Strike or Valorant. Motion blur becomes a distant memory.

Sony claims a 0.02 ms response time, which is genuinely fast. Brightness ranges from 335 nits in typical use to 1,500 nits peak, enough to handle HDR highlights without washing out. Contrast hits 1,500,000:1 (OLED territory) and color coverage reaches 99.5% of DCI-P3 with 178-degree viewing angles. Those are professional-grade numbers wrapped in a gamer-focused package.

HDR10 and HLG support come standard, along with a 240 Hz Black Frame Insertion mode that sharpens motion even further. The anti-glare coating carries TÜV Rheinland certification for blue-light protection, which might actually help during marathon sessions. Connectivity includes one DisplayPort 2.1a, two HDMI 2.1 ports, one USB Type-B upstream, two USB Type-A ports, and a 3.5 mm audio jack: everything you'd expect, nothing you don't.

Sony's sticking with a three-year warranty, matching its previous InZone models and surpassing many competitors. The $1,099 price tag stays unchanged from earlier high-end models, which tells you Sony's betting on performance loyalty rather than chasing margins. For gamers who've been waiting for OLED speed without the usual price premium, this might be the window they've been watching for.
