Mercedes-Benz has unveiled its first electric C-Class, the C400 4Matic, promising to be "the sportiest C-Class ever" with an estimated 473-mile range, 483 horsepower, and a cabin featuring a 39.1-inch display packed with AI technology.
What's new: The C400 4Matic features two electric motors delivering a combined 360 kW (approximately 483 hp), enabling 0-62 mph acceleration in just 3.9 seconds. Mercedes estimates the range at up to 473 miles based on the WLTP cycle. The sedan measures 192 inches long, 74.5 inches wide, and 59.2 inches tall, with a wheelbase of 116.6 inches. Its aerodynamic body achieves a drag coefficient of 0.22, making it sleeker and more efficient than the internal-combustion C-Class.
Advanced interior technology: Mercedes emphasizes the C400 4Matic's cabin as the most technologically advanced and spacious in the C-Class lineup's history. The interior features a 39.1-inch display spanning the entire width of the dashboard, a panoramic roof with ambient lighting, and a premium audio system with speakers integrated into the seats. Front seats offer massage and ventilation functions. Availability and pricing: The electric C-Class will debut in the United States in early 2027 and later expand to other regions, complementing the existing internal-combustion C-Class lineup. Pricing has not been disclosed, though the vehicle is expected to start around $55,000.
