April 23, 2026 Meta has started recording U.S. employees' screen activity to train its AI, Reuters reports.
The internal Model Capability Initiative runs inside work apps and periodically captures screenshots so the AI can learn things like keyboard shortcuts and drop-down menus.
Meta says the tool doesn't track individual performance, though the company plans to cut 10% of its staff in May and may trim more later this year.
